Who’s Watching?

The idea that there is a supreme being who watches over us is common to pretty much all religions in the world. How much different is that with Big Brother? Big Brother is a fictional character in George Orwell’s novel ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’, the enigmatic dictator of Oceania, whose constituents are constantly being watched by some form of video surveillance. But unlike Big Brother, God doesn’t judge what we do. He isn’t a dictator who lies and manipulates to get what he wants. He leaves us to our own free will to choose to good or not. But we should always choose to do what is right even if we are not being watched by a Big Brother, or a God.
